Dream Catchers at Mariana Sola Art Studio North Vancouver, British Columbia Crafts, Visual Arts — Hands-On Activity, Behind-the-scenes
Using a hoop, and decorating it with findings, bits and pieces of everyday life, (feathers, ribbons, yarn, beads, etc) the dream catcher is believed to have the power to catch all of a person’s dreams, trapping the bad ones, and letting only the good dreams pass through the dream catcher. It is a fascinating native tradition.
This is one of lots of activities we do in the different classes we teach, and from kids to adults can try it today for free with all the materials included!

Anonymous Art Show 2015 November 20 - December 19, 2015 Opening Reception: November 19, 7:00-9:30pm Sale continues to December 19. The artist remains a mystery until after the artwork is purchased. The Anonymous Art Show is a great fundraiser and group exhibition that enables the community to support emerging artists. All work is on unframed 8" x 8" x 1.5" canvas or wood panel. All works are $100, and the sale of each piece is divided 50/50 between the artist and the NVCAC, providing the artist an equal amount in royalties! During this exhibition, artwork is sold right off the wall - we even wrap it for you, ready for giving! Proceeds from this exhibition assist the NVCAC in funding many valuable programmes such as free community events and affordable art classes for all ages. Opening night is a buzz of activity, so come early to choose your favourite work of art at a great price. The opening night is a fun event for art admirers and artists - with the thrill of buying art by a well-known artist or to discover a new favourite. Relive the exhibition installation and opening night excitement from 2014 in the video below: CityScape Community Art Space 335 Lonsdale Avenue, North Vancouver, BC V7M 2G3 Click for Map Questions?
